Terms and Conditions : Ladakh Astronomy Expedition
1) Eligibility and Participation
- Participants must be 12 years or older. Those under 18 must submit a parental consent form.
- All participants must be physically fit and disclose any relevant medical conditions in advance.
- Interest in astronomy and outdoor travel is encouraged, but no prior experience is required.
2) Payment Terms :
- The expedition fee includes round-trip flight tickets to and from Leh, and must be paid in full to confirm your registration.
- Payment can be made via bank transfer, UPI, or payment gateway as provided by Above Zenith.
- A booking confirmation, flight ticket, and receipt will be issued upon payment.
3) Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellation by Participant:
- 50% refund if cancelled 30 days or more before departure.
No refund if cancelled less than 30 days before departure, or once flight tickets are booked. - Cancellation by Above Zenith:
Cancellation by Above Zenith:
- Full refund or rescheduling will be provided if the trip is cancelled due to natural disasters, security issues, or minimum participant count not met.
- Above Zenith is not liable for additional personal expenses outside the scope of this expedition.
4) Cancellation and Refund Policy
Included in Expedition Fee:
- Round-trip flight tickets to/from Leh
- All internal Ladakh travel (from Leh airport onward)
- Accommodation and meals (as per itinerary)
- Astronomy sessions, stargazing equipment access
- Trek guides, permits, and basic medical support
Not Included:
- Personal trekking gear, jackets, or boots
- Personal expenses, souvenirs, or snacks outside provided meals
- Travel/medical insurance (participants are advised to obtain one)
5) Code of conduct
- Respect local customs, wildlife, and environment.
- No alcohol, drugs, or smoking during the expedition.
- Participants must follow safety instructions from the expedition leaders at all times.
6) Assumption of Risk
- Participants accept the inherent risks of high-altitude travel and remote expeditions.
- Above Zenith is not responsible for injury, loss of property, or illness arising from natural causes or personal negligence.
- A signed liability waiver is mandatory before departure.
7) Medical Disclaimer
- Ladakh’s elevation exceeds 10,000 feet. Participants must consult a doctor and ensure fitness for high altitudes.
- Basic medical support will be provided, but serious conditions must be managed through participant’s own insurance and arrangements.
8) Photography and Media
- Participants consent to photo and video coverage of the event, which Above Zenith may use for educational and promotional purposes.
9) Force Majeure
- Above Zenith is not responsible for delays or cancellations due to natural disasters, political unrest, pandemics, or other uncontrollable circumstances. purposes.
10) Legal Jurisdiction
- This agreement is governed by the laws of India, and any legal matters will fall under the jurisdiction of courts in Bangalore.
