DEEP SKY OBSERVATION CAMP
- Camp under billion stars and experience stargazing like never before
What to Expect:
- It is an astronomy camp which is all about understanding everything that you see in the sky. We will have detailed guided sessions by experts in the field to learn the fundamentals of astronomy and star gazing and get an introduction into DSO (Deep Sky Observation) using our state of the art 8 inch computerized telescope. We will also be taking you on some local sightseeing spots nearby so that we can soak in the beautiful surroundings.
- Where do we stay: Everyone will be accommodated in tents and we will be provided with sleeping bags so that you are comfortable and have an engaging camping experience.
What is the Itinerary:
Day 01:
- 2 pm: Departure from Bangalore (multiple pickup points are available)
- 4 pm: Arrival at campsite followed by refreshments.
- 5 pm: Sessions on astronomy and learning prerequisites for night sky observation.
- 8 pm: Dinner
- 9 pm onwards: Stargazing, planetary observation, visual astronomy, constellation hunting, and deep sky observation.
Day 02:
- 6 am: Short trek to nearby Hillock
- 8 am: Breakfast and departure to Bangalore.
- 11 am: Arrival at Bangalore
Option 1 – If you plan to travel by yourself, our camp is 50 km from Bangalore. We will share the exact location once you register.
Option 2 – We will be arranging common transport from Bangalore to the destination. Multiple pick-up points will be communicated once you register for the event
Please be there by 5.30 pm so that we have time to get acquainted with each other, understand each other, and have a wonderful experience
You don’t have to know anything before coming as we will give sessions from the basics to understand the fundamentals of astronomy and Astrophotography
Kids from ages 5 to 10 years will be charged extra. You can opt for this option during the payment.
You are most welcome to do so. get your telescope/Binoculars and make the full use of it at our campsite instead of keeping it inside your house
- If the cancellation is made 72 hours before the event, we will refund 50% of the amount.
- If the cancellation is made 48 hours before the event, we will refund 25% of the amount.
- If the cancellation is made within 24 hours of the event, there will be no refund.
