DIY Retro Gaming Console Workshop

Build your own retro gaming console from scratch and take it home

Gaming consoles from the 8-bit era were simple enough that one person could understand every part of them, and this workshop takes you back to that point. Over the session, you solder and assemble a working handheld console with your own hands, learning the electronics as you go: what each component does, how the display and controls connect, and how the games actually run on the hardware.

By the end of the day, you power on a console you soldered yourself and play the games that defined a generation. Then you take it home.

No electronics or soldering experience is needed. Every step is guided, and all components, tools, and soldering stations are provided.
